WASHINGTON – January 28, 2013. The United States Leadership Forum today applauded the final Congressional passage of appropriations for the relief, recovery, and reconstruction of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and other areas affected by Superstorm Sandy.
The United States Leadership Forum organized the first national Sandy reconstruction conference on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Washington. Coming just days before the final Senate vote on the balance of $60 billion in appropriations, the conference featured a key Congressional presentation on the appropriations bill; presentations by New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut leaders on priorities for how the funds should be spent; the latest updates on Superstorm Sandy damage assessments and relief efforts; and financing for small businesses affected by Superstorm Sandy. The conference received national news media coverage.
